Both Sarah and Geraldine are fully qualified in injection treatment having undertaken a 2 year post-graduate diploma in orthopaedic medicine and injection therapy. They are fully registered with the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Orthopaedic Medicine and Injection Therapy.
- Injections such as steroid and local anaesthetics are beneficial for the relief of conditions such as tennis elbow, shoulder impingement problems, arthritic knees, foot, ankle and wrist tendon and joint problems.
- Sarah is a Clinical Specialist in Shoulder and upper limb injuries. She has worked with Consultant Orthopaedic surgeons at the world renowned Royal Berks Shoulder Unit. Sarah runs Active VIII's Specialist Shoulder Clinic, receiving referrals from GP's and Consultant orthopaedic surgeons. She has helped many clients with shoulder impingement problems, tennis and golfer elbow, wrist and hand injuries. She also utilises diagnostic ultrasound to assist in her diagnosis.
- Geraldine is a clinical specialist in spinal and lower limb problems, particularly the knee, foot and ankle. She is also a lecturer in clinical biomechanics and post-graduate physiotherapy, sports physiotherapy and sports rehabilitation. She undertakes injections primarily for lower limb problems, such as arthritic or swollen knees, ankle and heel joint problems, in addition to plantar fasciitis, metatarsalgia and painful toe joint problems. She also utilises diagnostic ultrasound to assist in her diagnosis.
